Menther is a digital platform that helps to empower and advance women globally through mentorship matching and support. A recognized Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) platform, Menther is poised to leverage technology to rebuild the workforce more equitably in a post-COVID world.

What's special about your business?

Lesli Ott is the Founder & CEO of Menther, a digital platform specifically designed to empower and advance women globally through guided female mentorship matching and ongoing support. She is an applied economist, data scientist, and full-stack software developer with a passion for using data-driven technology to create scalable business solutions that address social issues.  

Prior to founding Menther, Lesli built and led data-driven technology teams at Google spin-out and tech unicorn Cityblock Health and recently-acquired tech startup Remedy Partners. Earlier in her career, she spent over a decade in data and technology at Yale University and the Federal Reserve. Lesli is also a founding member of Chief, a private women's network focused on connecting and supporting executive-level female leaders. She holds Master’s degrees in both Economics and Mathematics from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of starting a small business?

Remember to focus forward. Focus on making an impact today. Let go of the growing pains that come at each stage. Continue to cultivate a team passionate about improving outcomes for others. 

As long as you remain vigilant in those things, the business will thrive.
